The Role:
The HR Generalist will be a key member of our client’s HR and play a central function in the company. The position will report to the HR Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Employee Relations – dealing with employee requests and queries on a daily basis.
- Recruitment and Selection
- Responsibility for Employee Benefits Administration, such as; Pension, Medical Insurance, provision and ordering of safety wear.
- Preparing monthly HR Reports for various departments.
- Support in developing on boarding processes incl. ZUP Process
- Introduce and integrate new staff members. Set up new employees on various systems prior to start date and prepare for arrival on-site.
- Implementing and updating Company Policies and Company Handbook
- Management of Personnel Files and training records
- Management of on boarding and relocation of international employee’s incl. visa etc.
- Provide advice and support to management team where applicable
- Record and administrate working time incl. absence management
- Support in providing employee appraisals
- Payroll Preparation in conjunction with Finance dept.
- Develop and manage public relation. Plan and manage events
- Maintenance of the company Intranet website.
- HR representative on the company communications team
- Ad hoc human resources duties and projects.
Person Specification:
- Degree in a business related subject, preferably human resources related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a Human resource function
- Ideally CIPD qualified
- Excellent PC Skills – Word, Excel, Power Point and Microsoft Outlook.
- Previous experience of maintaining a time and attendance system is a distinct advantage.
- Knowledgeable on current Irish employment legislation.
- Strong inter-personal skills and the ability to communicate at all levels
- Problem solving skills – ability to think outside the box to achieve the best solution
- Work well both independently and as part of a team
- Friendly and approachable and recognises the importance of confidentiality.
- Flexible attitude with an ability to multitask.
